    Hi all
What is the difference between all 3 for a ceiling?

I believe the hardi sheet is the cheap looking material used for external ceilings.

I wanted to know what to ask for so that my alfresco ceiling looks unlined like my internal ceilings. I believe I need plasterboard (or wet area plaster) but I was not sure if plasterboard is identical to fibre cement.

Wet area plasterboard is for bathrooms and laundries where there is high moisture levels, villaboard or hardiflex is exterior use. Make sure that the sheets used have a rebated edge for taping & setting the sheet joints, cornice or moulding to finish the sheets around the walls.

standard plasterboard can also be used for external ceilings.. you just need to increase the fixings. It's a good idea to use fc sheet though due to the increased exposure to moisture.

    Thanks.
So fibre cement is more durable but will still give the same finish and look as an internal ceiling?
