    Hi again.

Once again life throws another spanner into the works.

The site survey returned with a large-ish water tank just behind the main house measuring 2.45m in diameter.

Originally the plan was to have the 1.8m high fence positioned at 3m from the main house to the GF, leaving 2.4m between the GF and the separating fence. This would leave only 0.55m space between the water tank and the fence, which is rather tight!

Again we've been presented with two options by the builder.

Option 1: Move entire fence back so that the main house to fence distance is 3.3m, and distance from GF to fence is 2.1m.

Option 2: Keep fence at 3m and 2.4m as per original plan, but loop fence around the water tank.

    Pictures are attached below.

Which option is better? We'd like to maximise light into the GF (being that the entire site is on the south side of the street). Proposed separating fence will be 1.8m high; I'm not sure if moving the entire fence back towards the GF would make a huge difference in terms of light coming into the house?

    Thanks in advance!
