Fence Issue

    A quick question seeking advice about a property I own. The fence which is on the boundary has finally given up the ghost and fallen over after a big thunderstorm. The dilemma I have is that I realise it needs to be replaced but the house next door hasn’t been lived in for a number of years and I have no idea who owns the property. Seeking advice on who to contact to find out who owns it so I can contact them to share the cost of the fence. Cheers

    Are you in Brisbane or Victoria? If Brisbane, and BCC, typically you can contact the council and request the neighbours details be provided to you. This is likely similar everywhere else. Alternatively do you know anyone with RP Data :)

    They can but they still have to pay.

    Read the Act, follow the process as stated, etc.
