Fathers Day this Sunday what are you doing? Presents .. ?. My DH is mad golf fan, I am organising membership to golf club, I know expensive, butmhe deserves it big time..."and breakfast on the day Any other suggestions, let's keep it rolling. Daughter 2 is getting alignment sticks and practice golf balls MTR
If he hasn't already been there, a weekend trip to "Barnbougle Dunes" over in Tassie. Maybe next year - seeing how he is getting the Membership this year. I'm going to have some of my wife's world famous home-made pancakes for brekky, and then head over to her Dad's house to give him some grief for the arvo.
Every weekend I will be the babysitter for my three months old. I don't think it's going to change this week. Presents - My elder daughter is going to make a Father's Day card.
Mine starts tonight with a meet and greet at the little ones kindy. Students and dads exclusive. I'll get to meet her "boyfriend". She's 4!
i think I'll be getting money, he has a business that he works at 7 days so me and my brother will take over for the day
I sort of get double lucky, birthday is on Sunday as well. So a few friends around on Sat nite for a celebration as the birthday has a 0 on the end and then up early for a round of golf on Sunday morning with 3 friends s, so long as we pull up alight from the party hahah. Unfortunately my children live in NZ so no visits or anything.
My rules are simple: 1) breakfast in bed is evil (hate crumbs in the bed!) 2) shop bought cards are evil (if you are going to give me a card it has to be hand made - a scribble on a folded piece of paper is perfectly acceptable) 3) presents are optional, cuddles are not
I'm looking forward to my Sunday breakfast by wife and kids before heading to church. Then, gardening in the arvo.
Hubby wants a chisel plough for the tractor - so I've given him permission to buy it. Other than that ... realise we might be harvesting our early garlic in 2 weeks, so we'll be getting the drying shed up to scratch ... hubby's dad is coming to stay for a few days so we'll try and do lunch out - or bbq. For Christmas I'm going to give him flying lessons
My Fathers Day will be my immediate family or a "surprise" lunch and than going out to dinner with the extended clan due to family members working during the day..
Hunter Valley wine country ... hoping to harvest around 800kg this year (strike rate was a little low) ... organically grown so not "commercial" large scale as such www.pokolbinpurple.com.au
Sounds lovely, Tassie is actually on the agenda, never been, amazing how we live in such a wonderful country and we all tend to go abroad when there is so much to see here. Now that the Aussie $ has dropped perhaps people will start to consider places in Oz first. MTR
Wow flying lessons what a cool gift! I would have been over the moon if someone had done that for me, unfortunately I had to pay for all my lessons myself. However still remember my first solo, one of my lifes' highlights I literally Yahooed all the way around the circuit!
hahahaha - no - but he is winding down to retirement and I don't really want him under my feet ... also, with as a process engineer and development manager, don't think growing garlic, maintaining our tourist accommodation and cooking "Spotty Dog" will keep his mind from going insane
I got Dad a copy of "The Martian". Fantastic book, I've read it twice, even my wife has read it (she's usually not a sci-fi fan). The movie's out in October.
