What are you getting your Dads/husbands for Fathers day?

I need to redeem myself this year, but am lacking inspiration...

On behalf of my wife, I bought myself a 18-300mm lens for my Nikon.

We were in Cambodia and my 18-55mm lens was playing up. Had to buy a new lens or not take photos of Angkor Wat. Easy decision. Saved myself about A$400.

Wife promptly took the $400 saving to spend on herself :) :)

Haha - nice! That's the sort of present I'd like :)

Personally - if it's possible - a surprise trip away is always an awesome idea (IMO).

    Cheers

I agree - I might sneak him away for a night*. Was thinking of taking him to a degustation dinner, we've never done that before.

I was trying to see what I would like. Nothing really.
I would buy if I really want something. So it has to be something money can't buy!

My wife is the epitomy of grace as I wouldn't go near my feet either.

I wouldn't go near your feet after where they've been.

I've heard that you've put you big foot in it a few times.

Normally the wife buys me a nice dress for Fsther's Day. They are ALWAYS too small for me; so she ends up wearing them (you might be amazed to hear they fit her perfectly!!!).

This year I took matters into my own hands.

I too seem to want for nothing, as anything i want I've already bought
It would be nice to be taken out for lunch ( and not have to pay)
Have someone else wash my car (instead of me)
Someone else to mow my lawns (i mow for a job)
Maybe a massge (these bones are feeling old-er)
    ( A jetski would be nice though :D )
Will probably spend my day splitting fire wood by hand, with a beer in the other :)

Not another pointless gift giving servitude? Why would you give your husband a father's day gift? It's father's day, not partner day.

@Ed Barton I know right?! But I bought him a really crap birthday present (I was in a rush and panicked) so would like to give him something more in line with how much I like him and how much of a good Dad he is to our kids. A $2 pen from the school Father's Day stall doesn't quite cut it. ;)

Speaking of kids buying presents, what's the funniest gift your kids have ever bought you?

I got 2 pens and a stress ball from my kids this year for Mothers day

My husband got a boat for his 60th which is the week following fathers day. So the boat is only 3 metres long but it's the thought, right. I'm using it for an ice bucket at his party.

I got one pair of business socks this year. One pair. In the bag they came in from the shop.

Kids played up, so didn't get any dinner. And the cake never got finished either.

It was a dud. My wife admits she feels terrible about it, but to be honest I'm always giving her crap birthdays (getting better all the time!)
