Your link has been removed or broken.

(My opinion only) Is that with an insurgent group like the Taliban, it's got extremist freedom fighters from many groups and no one actually knows what and who they really are or who they're working alongside with, they gained control of most of the roads in Afghanistan, and they virtually still had a certain control of the place while the US was there.

The reports I've read indicate that some girls have been left behind, some intend to settle in Qatar, and some in Mexico

The reports that I read covered their flee, not the arrival anywhere. I wasn't aware that they all didn't make it out. How desperate must you be, when you are as young as 14, fleeing to another country with just the clothes on your back, not even having time to say goodbye to your family? Glad they're safe, but it's going to be hard on them.

What happened today in Kabul is unfortunately a sign of things to come around the world.

Covid provided a welcome break on that particular front but now it's back on the agenda.

It's a pity the people of Afghanistan didn't/don't rise up to take control of their country and stamp out the lunatics. Never too late though.

The bombing today was undertaken by another faction - IS-K - who are despised by the Taliban. I feel the bombing was an attempt by the IS-K to undermine the agreement between the Taliban and US for evacuations - and also attempt to make the Taliban look weak on the world stage.

There will be so many factions coming into play, once the evacuations are over - the US (and allies) are pulled out - and there is no longer a "common" enemy. Rife for civil war - however - an underground resistance have had a taste of what life could be like under unity and peace, and I see grass roots change.

Might take a decade - or even two - but change will occur

The original Isis-k members came from the Afghan Taliban and Pakistani Taliban, don't forget the Taliban released the Isis fighters from jail. Even the Taliban is full of ex-fighters from dissolved guerilla and insurgent groups of the past.

I'm genuinely intrigued why the Taliban allowed this to happen because they are definitely rivals who've fought each other before.

The end goal of both groups are the same I believe, it's not really an ideological difference between the groups but a power struggle to gain dominance in the region.

Unfortunately, I suspect more of this will happen. Its partly ideology (more extreme version) , but mostly power struggles. Terrorist groups will see that the taliban is a militia like they are, not a well governed entity nor a professional force in any regard, and they will try their hand at gaining power the only way they know: violent Terrorist activities.

The enemy of my enemy is my friend.

Modern history is littered with 'causes' using convenient scapegoats to do dirty work.

I mean if Isis were in their jails, (and they claim Isis to be their enemies), why did they just let them all walk free.
