We are doing something interesting this week going to the Barossa and going hot air ballooning, is this an extreme sport? For us it is:

I don't think it's that extreme, depends how much wine you have with you.
You could always bungee jump off the side to make it official.

More like base jumping from the basket will make it extreme.

My wife can't handle a roller coaster. She was fine with a hot air balloon.

I've done the tandem parachute jump thingy and paragliding but I'm not up to a bungee jump.

If it falls out of the sky and hits the ground then it's extreme.

    Sure.

And if your plane gets shot down or your car collides head on with another car then those are extreme too. Crossing a road can be extreme.

    I've done that before.
So what if it was only 4 feet off the ground.

Are you scared? That's should be the definition of extreme.

My brother has done the hot air ballooning in the Barossa, he said it was awesome. When are you going? The weather has been terrible here.

Have to lined up some wineries?

Are you staying in the Barossa?

It's only an extreme sport if the bubble bursts!

    Kind of like property...

I guess your sig doesn't apply to hot air balloons.

I'm in the Barossa tomorrow for Hockey Grand Final. Tomorrow meant to be pretty crazy weather again until tomorrow night.

Completely agree, even if you don't get up in the balloon heaps of awesome wineries to enjoy.

If the weather isn't so flash and you're going to struggle to get around, I highly recommend getting stuck here at the Artisans of Barossa
They have a great selection of different local wineries to taste along with awesome food - wicked atmoshpere as well
