I'm in the early stages of looking at the viability of a small exporting business. I've had a quick look at set up and ongoing costs and trying to find ideas for getting the cheapest prices for moving and shipping goods overseas. Also, is anyone aware of any funding that may be available to support business start up?

Talk to your local AusTrade TradeStart person - usually colocated in a state Trade and Investment (or similar named) office- they can provide a range of assistance and information on grants (some assistance is free some is charged at a subsidized rate per hour).

Edit to Add - looks like in Vic it's delivered by AusIndustry Group - you should not be required to join or become a member of this group to access TradeStart advice or grants as it's a federal government service.

That's fantastic, thanks so much for that.
