Exclusive Use of Common Property NSW

    We have a 2 bedroom ground floor strata unit at the front of a block of nine. In front of our unit is a grassed area that is not used by anyone. We have been thinking of trying to gain exclusive access and am wondering if anyone has had experience of gaining exclusive use of an area such as this? I understand we will be liable to compensate the owners corporation for use of this land and have obligations to upkeep it.

    Get an 'exclusive use' by-law drafted and passed at an agm - needs to meet several criteria to pass.
