Bug farming is a growing industry in Australia ... albeit off a low base, like many intensive farming options (container farming)

There are many stories from ww2 where those that ate the wevils in rice rice had a higher survival rate ... intensive source of protein.

Admittedly, because I'm privileged, I'll stick to beef or chicken or fish a couple of times a week but I can see a future for big protein in an increasingly vegetarian world, where soybeans, and like, are showing their limitations (increases oestrogen in men)

Just on that, two of the massive myths in vegetarian & vegan diets are protein generally and oestrogen in soy.

When you look into it, there's virtually zero instances of protein deficiency in vegans (and omnivores), in fact it's almost impossible for anyone to have a protein deficiency if they simply eat enough calories per day generally of almost anything (as there's protein in pretty much every food).

Soy has phytoestrogen, not oestrogen and has no impact on oestrogen hormone levels in men, whereas dairy consumption for men does in crease oestrogen levels.

EDIT to add, don't let the apparent "silliness" of the link put you off watching it, Mike is a science writer and is studying a Masters in Public Health. His videos all state their sources in the links underneath.

Found this excellent search engine courtesy of Friendlyjordies and now use it instead of Google. Some of the advertising revenue gets invested in planting trees around the world.

This looks really exciting- I think I'll lose some time tonight looking into this technology. Innovation for the future! I'm particularly interested to see the drawbacks- I'm assuming it's very energy intensive, otherwise everyone would be doing it. The article seems to gloss over any negatives, but if it's all as good as they say- how cool!

I don't understand your question. What's not good?

Was interesting to see the article re Sweden and Denmark both reaching similar milestones get mainstream news time this evening, whilst berating our government for being obstructionist

Now in commercial testing ... 1000km per charge ... 10 minute charge time. Perfect for Australia. And it's a Toyota (my fav brand)

Toyota planning huge reveal for 2021
