    NDQ = MER .48%
    IVV = MER 0.04%

    I'd personally steer clear of NDQ as you are paying nearly 1% of your principal every couple of years for the 'privilege'

    Thanks all for suggestion/Info. Am not finally going with PMGOLD at this stage. I am going with a mix of VGS and VDHG, for the 10K cash that I have got. I am trading through the Vanguard portal, which means I have to pay no brokerage fee.

    VDHG already holds VGS, so you are wanting to tilt VDHG to more global exposure?
    Also Vanguard platform flogs you 0.2% of your total holdings too - it's not an entirely free lunch hey.

    Correct. VDHG has primarily got more Australian share exposure. Hence included VGS in the mix.

    Correct too. To start off, I would have spent $30+$30 = $60 on my CBA brokerage. For that to happen, $10K needs to grow to $30K :)

    Whats that saying about pound foolish, paying peanuts or spending money to make money. It is returns that count .I would prefer to get maximum return for my principle, or even keep 70% of it, You would have needed to invest 200% more in IVV to save a few piddly few cents. A $30 dollar share of IVV bought 5 years ago has returned $17, you would have only needed to buy A $10 share of NDQ to get same return.

    Then it would be better to use Stake and buy QQQ or similar

    That's my problem!

    I seem to find it so much harder to pick the future winners than the past winners!

    Thanks fellas. This is why I posted the question. The admin costs alone make it an easy decision once this was pointed out.

    might as well then get NDQ via commsec pocket:
    $2 or 0.2% brokerage (the lower of), with benefits of local domicile and CHESS sponsored holding.

    He is saying you should buy the Q's because the management fee is lower than NDQ.
