lol and at the other end of the spectrum...

    • The Anecdotalist - Goes to half a dozen open inspections on a weekend and thinks they can call the state of the entire capital city market based on the number of people at the viewings. Tops, bottoms, their observations are far better at calling these than any market wide data.

... BTW.......you were not even close, it was not you I was thinking of... unfortunately I can see how this can actually be destructive on a forum.

Pity that a moderator creates a thread like this, what do you think will happen, it will divide the forum and add no value. I think someone should have given this some thought.

Lets see how this thread pans out.....hopefully not too nasty

    MTR:)

Is there a term for someone who throws a grenade and then walks off, popping back now and again to see the aftermath? :)

... I wasn't sure either way, but have got some flack for graphs/charts from those who prefer anecdotal observations. Mine was not directed at you, just the opposite end of the spectrum to the stats master :), like SC I could see myself as several of those in the OP & posted since.

I got a laugh out of it.

    That's value to me.

Honestly, to anyone who possibly might be taking offence to a thread like this (I wouldn't want to offend anyone, would I?)....

Anyway to those people, whoever they might be, all I will say is I that think you need to lighten up.

    I'm pretty certain @keithj did.
