Hubby turned up to the School canteen telling them he couldn't get the lunch order app to work as it said pies were only available on Wed/Fri. He got a puzzled look and was told it was Thurs. He used the excuse he was a shift worker and thought it was Wed but actually admitting he really had no idea what day it was. They felt sorry for him and took a lunch order for pies :D

    I forgot a wedding anniversary once.....ouch !
Believe it or not 12 months later my daughter calls me at work wanting to know if She has to make dinner for the boys?
    Why I ask?
Aren't you taking Mum out tonight?
    Then the penny dropped.
Nope I told her.....I am taking the whole family out to celebrate.
Two years in a row of forgetting probably wouldn't have gone down to well.

I once lost myself in a different city. I'd flown in the night before, had a big night and found myself standing outside in the early am with no phone, shoes, wallet, numbers or addresses. (I must have gotten up for a wee or a sleep walk). I eventually found the emergency department where they looked after me until we found a way to work out where I was supposed to be.

We also left a kid at Sydney Harbour once. Rocked up in a boat, went shopping, and left sans one kid. Took about 45mins to realise. Lucky he was about 15 and just hung out where we had tied up the boat.

I am constantly forgetting to tell my wife that I have to travel for work. Usually realise as she looks surprised as I'm desperately packing my case to rush to the airport.
I usually fly somewhere every week.

Just last month, I forgot to renew my car rego (VIC)! My hubby drove me to work one morning and he was stopped by the police, after dropping me off, for driving an unreg car. $777 out of pocket! Luckily there was no demerit point... Else it wouldn't definitely go that well..

I would actually say to the police we forgot... can we just get a warning and no fine? It's not like you did it on purpose. I'm thinking though, police are probably using cameras that can read numberplates and detect unregistered vehicles on the roads these days

Nope.. tried but no chance.. The fact at the point of offence, the car was unregistered. They said we can speak to VicRoads but they says it is owner's responsibility to ensure car rego is current. There are few comments on whirlpool that no way to get out of it.

Yes they are able to detect unregistered vehicles. I got pulled over with flashing lights on way home from work in Wodonga last year and breathalised on a busy road for the whole world to see. Turned out hubby forgot to pay the rego which was a couple of days lapsed. The officer let me off as it was just 2 days and payment could have been in the system..He didn't look happy though and I image he would have welcomed the opportunity to dish out a massive fine.

As I think i might suffer from Amnesic Deja Vu (although I;m not a medical professional), I find there are a lot of things that I think that I might have forgotten before...
