Will property in Ettalong Beach rock up when the fast ferry project finally start?
Actually will benefit Ettalong, umina, gosford and even further since people can park in Ettalong street and take ferry for Sydney commute. Also a few luxury apartment are under construction and more new cafe and restaurants moved in that area.

This is on council website, looks real now!

The bullet train is another good chance however fast ferry seems easier and less cost.

Council has been doing these Fast ferry proposals for a long time, but nothing has happened yet. From memory, there have been continuing discussions in the past few years about this. Let's see where it takes the market if it happens.
On the top of that M2 to M1 tunnel will complete soon, providing quick connection to Central Coast.

Depends how fast and how many ferries. What about when the seas are rough due to the weather? The trip would become a chunder fest.

A super fast train would be better.

That's true, the old plan has been terminate however this is put to council key priorities just this year since a proposal has been made. Hopefully it will be a good start.

Bullet train is definitely better however take longer time and money as well.
Ettalong wharf has been upgraded it might only need 5 million to get the ferry project done, while fast train will cost 20 billion and also 20 years

Several consortia with Fast Ferry ideas have come and gone broke over past decades. Don't hold your breath.

A ferry to the city would take up to 2 hrs + in good weather. Likely unpleasant in a swell. Or fail to run at all...A Manly ferry or fast ferry costs $6 and takes 30mins and the fast feerry competesat a similar fare. The train from Gosford takes 1:25 and costs $8.50...Do the maths. Its not viable. Thats why people talk it up and its never heard of.

Imagine the safety issues to go outside the heads and meet survey and safety??

Very true, they said 30 mins fast ferry from Gosford/Ettalong beach wharf to circular quay but I doubt it, also weather can be a problem.
About price, assume return ticket $20, 5 days a week return coast $100, the rent and house there still can save heaps, also if they really make it just 30mins trip, they even spend less time than most people living in Syd on commute, plus beautiful beaches in central coast, it may bring more Sydney people living there?

Actually 'Door to station shuttle service' + fast train will work perfectly, however might took 30 years or even longer, or maybe update the train line to make it 30 mins quicker?

    30 mins to Circular Quay....on a boat?

Possible but expensive! Tickets would be nowhere near the $20 previously suggested.

Also the 30mins would be relying on perfect weather.

How popular do you think it'd be if your arrival time might be anywhere between 7:30 am or 9:30 am depending on the weather?

Ferry would be quicker than Barrenjoey Road from Palm Beach.
