    Does anyone know whether releasing equity in an IP or PPOR as a retired pensioner affects pension payments in any way?

    It doesn't on its own- but what is the equity going to be used for? If it's going to go into any form of saving account or investment account / product then that'd likely affect pension.

    Best bet might be to have them talk to a financial planner eg www.precisionpw.com.au
