With a 900mm wide shower, and a 500mm wide vanity/basin - that gives about 700mm space in between the vanity and the shower screen.

Is that enough? It seems a bit small, ie. when you bend over to use the basin?

Our kitchen has only 800mm between the island and the sink. Not ideal, but there is plenty of room to clean my teeth if I wanted to. So I'd say it would work.

Or put your loo in the back corner, add a sliding door on the shower so it doesn't swing anywhere (we have this). You could swing a door, but the sliding door means no risk of hitting anything or anyone. You also can leave the door open for drying out without it encroaching into the room.

The other thing I tried hard to avoid was standing to dry ourselves with a towel that could accidentally touch the toilet. This plan works for that too.

    Here is another try...

I tried very hard in our bathroom to have the toilet tucked near the door so it couldn't be seen but it just didn't work. But for our bathroom, you have to be at the door to see the toilet. This issue for me (avoid seeing the toilet) does matter more if you can see into the bathroom from another room.

I used the Reece 2D planner for our bathroom, but cannot work with the 3D planner. So I used webplanner.virtualworlds.co.uk as it is quick and easy to work with.

If there is an option to change the door around so it is moved 500mm UP?

Then you could possibly have a bigger shower and double vanity.
    Shower along wall B (2050 x 900mm)
Toilet on Wall A (top right hand)
Vanity on wall that is opposite wall A. (1200mm long x 450mm deep)

Double sink is eye candy only. Larger shower has more user appeal.
We just went through this same process with the shower vs bath sizing

Do you really need a toilet in there?

In our new design we realised that there would be a toilet only a few steps from the master bedroom, so we dropped it in the en-suite. Gave us more space for a double shower and double sinks, as well as a little more cabinetry.

Having a toilet in the same room where you brush your teeth is kind of disgusting as well. Faecal matter ends up on everything including your toothbrush.
