Ending a week to week lease

    Hi guys,

    Just had a quick question, I have a tennant that is currently on a week to week lease, what are the rules around cancelling their lease? They haven’t done anything wrong, I would just like to move into the property myself.

    Ending a tenancy

    90 days? I'm not in NSW, so I may be corrected by someone in the know.

    They are not - its open ended. Their fixed period may have ended years ago but under the act tenants continue to have all basic rights - including having to give 21 days minimum notice to vacate.
