Electricity Abolishment arrangement

    I have bought a splitter block in north Brisbane, due to settle in early Oct.
    I am looking to abolish the electricity and was advised by Origin that it could take up to 21 days and it can not be pre-arranged to have a fixed date for energex ppl to come.

    The seller will still live in the property until settlement.
    Does anyone has experience on this to possibly arrange a date few days after settlement to abolish the service?
