There's nothing quite like getting ticked off at the polling booth.

The real issue is direct democracy and even the current technology is more than capable of diminishing and disrupting the relevance of politicians, hence all kind of straw-man fallacies are being brandied about to avoid introduction of technology.

Wow, glass empty point of view right there.
Not every voter at this point in time is capable of having a computer and negotiating the technology in order to make their vote count if indeed there was such an app to enable a legitimate vote without compromise.
Straw man fallacies ? Such drama.

It's hard to be happy with any of them, but I could be unhappier.

    Oh, yeah !!!

However, still can't understand Billy's victory lap and how it was promoted on mainstream media through the he week.
One headline said " Labors successful election".
    What?..

imo Labour would be a disaster for our economy which then affects so many other things. We literally can't afford Shorten.

I agree wholeheartedly and voted accordingly.
But it's still like going to a vegetarian restaurant.

    No, not that happy.
However one benefit of this election is that the negative gearing debate has picked up so much traction, its demise is very close. Politicians recognize now that its a major issue, more people want it reformed than not, and this will be reflected soon in policy.

I doubt the whole NG thing is an issue. If anything it'll be more about finding a good middle ground with health policies and making voters feel safe about good health care . My prediction is NG will be forgotten if it isn't already.

Negative gearing reforms were polling as a less important issue than the endangered Ascot tree frog.
