This means election was rigged. We all know how best a sausage sandwich provides you with the last minute nutrients needed to make a level headed decision. They deprived people of sausage sizzle in some schools thus depriving them of the ability to think clearly and vote right.

I had two sausage sandwiches, one before voting and one after. Usually get the wife to stand in line whilst I head over for the pre-voting sausage sandwich:). Needed one afterwards as well after trying to manage the massive white voting form. All very stressful, so went home to calm down with a couple of home brews to make it a complete meal:D.

    Ah the taste of democracy.

I'm seeing ALP 67 / LNP 66 at the moment on ABC. Interesting times ahead. Asset prices going to be affected fairly quickly, and Property Investment as a whole is going to become much less attractive.

The ABC now predict 66 coalition, 67 ALP, 1 Xenophon, 1 Kater, 1 green and two independents.

    Too close to call.

Why not simply go to an early voting venue at 8.30am when no-one is there...stuff queuing up on a Sat with thousands of other humans for a joke.

Antony Green the ABC election guru is still predicting 75 Blue team 70 Red team.
Either way its looking like a messy minority government with independent king makers.

    What a ridiculous state of affairs;

    * Six years and 3 Leaders of Labor and a monumental stuff-up,
    * Five minutes of TA as PM and nothing achieved due to a hostile Senate,
    * Change Leadership mid-term to MT because TA is "not popular",
    * Announce an early Election to try and win Gubb while the popularity is still good,
    * Possible loss of Election - so MT has stuffed it up as well, and got rid of TA for nothing,
    * Yet another possible change of PM; and worse still; back to another Labor Gubb so soon after their last 6 year disaster.

One possible high note; at least our dollar might plummet and tourism will get a kick.

Certainly possible. At the ready as usual for opportunities with a long term view of course. Wish it was for external reasons rather than the likely political mess unfortunately.

Another reason for my increasing International exposure. Although plenty of crazy stuff going on overseas as well.

Even better just postal vote, I did two in a week lately (Australia and Brexit).
Used to like lining up outside Australia house in London to vote, plenty of expats to talk to handing out lamingtons and stuff to entice you to vote their way, shame when you got to the front of the queue really.

No up here you go later in the day to avoid the queues. And the timing fits in well with a couple of afternoon home brews. 8.30am a bit too early:eek:.

And what's more, it has probably put power into the hands of vegetarians - who never have a sausage anyway so are more ready for the change in provision-of-sausage conditions. Giving vegetarians an unfair advantage...

Get the UN in, I say!

Can the electrol commission get a clue already and let us vote online so it doesn't take a week or more to sort out who has won. So stupid, let us register for some kind of security key, Set up a couple of polling booths for the geriatrics who don't use computers and just get on with it.

Or have touch screen voting at the booth so counting is automatic.

The strings on the ballot booth pencils were too short. That is where the real electoral reform is needed.

Did you notice the money wasted on the 'certified' purple rulers used for marking off the rolls.

Could do that but then they have to invest in new equipment every election and it still wouldn't sort out the issue with postal votes.

Who's still asleep on a Sat at 8.30?

I'd nearly completed 9 holes by that time. :D

You do the early voting during the week; when at work or on the way of you can enjoy the luxury of a late start and/or no commute.

My workshop is 1 block from the early voting place, so my Staff and I took turns wandering around on Thurs morning to do the useless deed....

Getting paid to go and vote - what a bloody good Boss!! :p
