    Agreeing to be an executor is a big decision. Serious legal responsibility and risks come with that decision.

    Not everyone is aware of this.

    Yep, when I made my will, my solicitor said that I needed to ask my executors if they are willing to do this. They then had to sign something.
    On the flip side, I know so many people who have made wills and have not done this.
    Also seen a case where the executor was incompetent and dragged out everything for 4 + years before the beneficiaries received what they were entitled.
