I was viewing a house in Eastwood and saw this on google map. This is east of the railway. Does any guru have any idea what it is?

The zoning is SP2 - Infrastructure.

It is a road corridor starting at Epping Road.

Interesting. Because back in ~2007 we looked at a house on Orange St. Saw the bathroom reno job was very budget (they had just painted over the tiles) and also my brother in law said people use Orange St as a rat run on weekdays.
As it is zoned to be so close to road infrastructure then I would consider that it would be detrimental to the neighbourhood compared to if it wasn't there. You could buy it and nothing happen with the road corridor, or the road could be put in and the neighbourhood become less pleasant.

It's a proposed infrastructure corridor only, it may or may not happen. It took over 50 years for the westconnex to get off the drawing board and then it was in a radically different form ie tunnels not above ground.

Being close to above ground infrastructure can have a detrimental effect on price - although the price will increase due to the availability of the infrastructure it may not appear to increase by the same amount as other properties further away (but the current price may already factor this in by being slightly/significantly lower than the comparable which is further away).
