Lol Mavis I forgot about this post. Thanks for bumping it up.

I am never allowed to bring it to my office again, I've been told! By my staff :)

Everyone has their own way to eat durian. Mine is to freeze them, take them out to thaw for 20 minutes, then eat. It's like consuming soft ice-cream and is absolutely delicious!

There are two seasons for durian; the second one is coming up soon and I shall be gorging on it. Be aware though, it's very high in calories. ☺

@Traveller99 - calories isn't the only thing high about durian.

I don't know about specifically Darwin durians but I'd imagine your best bet would be cabramatta followed by another heavily Asian populated area with lots of grocers, maybe do the ringaround

Went to Cabramatta today (an Asian suburb in south-western Sydney) and got me a huge durian...yummy!!! Cost $50..the skin is freakin sharp... got cuts already trying to take that small piece off... oh but it's soo worth it.... Any Singaporeans/Malays in the house.. you know the score with it :D

A lot. My late uncle used to own Durian plantation :) they get planted not too far away from each other
