    HI Guys,

So we're thinking to go Dubai airlines to London and just wanting feedback about the airlines as we've never flown it before. Good? Bad? The planes? Service? All feedback is appreciated.

    Thanks

Hi @Leo2413 i have never heard of Dubai Airlines but know that Emirates/Qantas fly through Dubai and Etihad through Abu Dhabi both in the UAE. I have flown both routes/airlines to London and we quite impressed. I would put the Emirates/Qantas combo ahead of the Etihad but that is due mainly to my FF program and the fact I love the A380 for long haul haha. You would do well with either.

On a related note, this is a useful website for comparing airline safety:

We only had one leg on the Emirates plane (code share with Qantas) and they were great. Modern, clean and really good service (this was lacking on the Etihad flights).

Hell yeah. The in flight is really good. I try and get a Qantas plane generally as the entertainment is a little more western.

Worth a try but you might not have a choice because sometimes, some routes are always flown on a specific carrier's planes.

Edit: It's been a few years but I did used to fly semi-regularly with Emirates/Etihad for a while and found both of them good.

That is what I do. It is often a little cheaper through Emirates. Make sure the times are suitable though I wouldn't stress too much between the two. I always search through Skyscanner which saves a heap of time.

Emirates and Qantas code share. If you want maximum FF Qantas points, make sure you book a Qantas flight (check flight number). Same plane but more points than if you book Emirates flight number. Of course, check fares as the difference may make booking Emirates more economical.

I would rate Emirates as second or third. Probably to Singapore and etihad (though Qatar takes n1 for business class).
Check you connections through Dubai. I find a lot of the time the connections from Perth are horrible and you land up with 8+ hours in Dubai airport with a 2am boarding for your next flight.
Often its quicker and better connections on Singapore air via Singapore. And Singapore airport is much nicer to boot.

@Blacky my wife is looking at both emirates and Singapore...shell choose one, which one is anyone's guess. As long as I get a window seat i'm happy :)

First time I flew Emirates on return trip they ripped up my boarding pass (window) as I was boarding and gave me another one (non-window), bummer and a bit weird I thought, then I couldn't find my seat row.. number didn't exist.. turns out it was upstairs in Business class, they upgraded me from economy without telling me, thanks Emirates ! Joining their FF scheme before I booked might have had something to do with it.

But my last trip on Emirates to Australia took 36 hours... (via Dubai and Bangkok).
