    Hi,

I have my eyes on a two storey house where the ground floor was converted to a kind of granny flat with a small living area, kitchenette and bedroom. Upstairs is your normal home with three bedrooms. Certainly not to code in term of dual key living, if it is permitted by council (QLD).

I wanted to know if a place like this would appeal to renters - as I am intending to rent this one out for 3-5 years before I can consider to reno and move in (or possibly reno and sell). Outside of that the price range seems quite right even considering it only as a 3 bedder with some cosmetic reno required.

    Thanks!

Do you plan to rent to two individual groups? In BCC that is not allowed. Is it within BCC?

    Sunshine Coast Council.

I don't plan to rent to two groups because I don't think there is soundproofing, firewalls etc. It would be looking for trouble.
