    Spot on. It pays to read your policy so you know exactly where you stand. You don't need to be a lawyer, you just need to do your own due diligence.

    Incidentally did anyone see that there was a sequel to this story - apparently there were some very generous tradies etc. in Geelong who felt very sorry for these people and helped them to repair the damage done to their house free of charge. Let's hope that they don't make the same mistake they did the first time round and get a professional to manage for them... seven and a half percent (fully tax deductible) is not a big price to pay for piece of mind.

    Not mine. A tenant smoking cones in the house leaves a very distinctive odour. ;)
