Your local paint specialist will advise on products that work. Bunnings has a range of DIY products too. Can be tinted almost any colour.

A polyeurethane floor sealer in garage at same time ?? Smells like hell for a few days and lasts forever and only a new build is the right time. Looks a million bucks

Hot pink. Just joking, usually i would look for a contrast colour but what contrasts grey and black?
Are they sandstone blocks near the fence? Maybe go sandstone type colour with the drive.

Pigging backing on this thread, what are some hard wearing driveway paint products?

I'm also looking at painting a driveway however not sure what are durable products to use.

    Thanks
    Al

Ive always used epoxy for drive ways and paths, i work for a protective coatings supplier so its always been easy for me, however i did give the bunnings white knight Heavy duty a go on a driveway a month ago, was also a hybrid epoxy and it looked great, used basalt in a matt finish (epoxy chalks anyway and turns out looking great)

Tinted sealer, about $500 in materials.

    Bluestone is my suggestion.

Yep ended up using a sealer not a paint. Waaaayyyy better than the white knight and whatever Bunnings sells. Have used that in the past and looks great for 6-12 months then wears through

We are thinking of painting over our concrete garage floor to hide 20 years of general dirt and paint slashes. There's an old oil stain (or something like that - dinner plate size) that feels dry to the touch, but perhaps we could sand the surface and paint anyway.

We are happy to just paint the floor with paving paint, but we are told there's a two pack type of product from Bunnings but perhaps we should get someone in to apply one of those vinyl fleck floors?

Any ideas of what will work on such an old floor. Doesn't need to be "showroom pretty". Just prefer not to paint something on and have it peel off too soon.

I just found this product that seems to be $46 for one square metre . Perhaps some type of vinyl (even just a big offset piece) will suit us better, just cover the floor?

Rustoleaum Rock Solid got a lot of praise when I spoke to the dudes at bunnings. $160 for 23m2 or $200 for a 2.5car garage and it isnt prone to tyre burn (black marks when power steering lock is used) Epoxy can have issues on high temp days when a hot tyre drives in. Rips off the surface and clings to tyre. This is stronger they say.

I was going to contact them in USA to ask about stains etc and never did.

Quick dry etc. Low odour. Low VOC. Some epoxys smell worse than a nail bar for weeks.

There is also a clear version.

You would ideally acid etch the floor first so the coating adheres correctly.
