It's fairly regular occurrence in northern suburbs of Adelaide, or on building sites anywhere.

Let me give you a tip though - its got nothing to do with the recycle $.

What they do is swap the meter onto their own house (then put their own on at the end of the month) so that when it gets read it hides their true usage. Very handy for those that partake in "indoor gardening".

SA Water will replace the first meter for free but charge nearly $300 for subsequent replacement.

Use pvc plumbing instead of copper. Don't install hws & appliances until you move in or have the alarm connected.

Last time I spoke to SA water, it was first time was free; after that they required a police report.

God knows I've had to order enough of them!

    Good advice there!

Why wouldn't someone do a Reno in Elizabeth?

It could be to increase value.

    Or increase rent?

Or perhaps increase its appearance to sell it?

The real question is why would somebody air BnB a place in Elizabeth?

Just had the fuses stolen 2 days ago on the day I was going to do practical completion. Not a biggie but a hassle on the day you want to test all electrical items etc

They do this in unit blocks in Sydney too, you will find unemployed centrelink funded crims who think this is a side job, they are organised and is sold for scrap, always worse where there is a concentration of housing.

In one block I was in, all the driveway grates etc had to be bolted down, or they would walk, about 2 years ago I walked into carpark in one block, kicked a scumbag out that I thought may have been checking cars, did not realise till after that all taps were gone.

There are members here who have had all the copper pipework ripped out once place was vacant, if these nongs put as much effort into a real job they would be laughing, very annoying to say the least.

Hopefully that'll learn him - but he probably enjoyed the morphine/endone party in hospital.

Yeah, like I said, they are not too bright......better if he finished himself, now he has cost owners, insurance and the public hospital system, do we really think people like this will ever learn ? He will also probably get a free room courtesy of HRH also at our expense.
