Yep. Genetics...The gift that keeps giving that you cant give back or change. Plenty have inherited disorders far worse.

Did the PC blood donor group got setup? I'll be happy to join if it's up.

Used to donate blood 2-3 times a year when the blood donor center was near my office. Been years since I donated after they moved, keen to get going again.

I know this sounds churlish but has anyone else noticed in Perth the disappearance of the bikkie? Yes the muffin is still there but no bikkie now for months :(

Donated plasma yesterday in Melbourne. They had the choc chip bikkie, but it was a generic one, not the branded one telling me how awesome I am.

...I feel blessed. At our local, we get a milkshake made for us, have kit Kats, pretzels, sausage rolls and pies, and biscuits. It's almost too much!

I donate at Midland every month and the bikkie has been absent for ages. Yes, sandwiches, Kit
    Kats muffins, but no bikkie!

They're always low on O-. Less than 3% of the population and it's a universal donor so any other mainstream blood type can accept it.

They received my donation this morning.

    First world problems?

They used to give bikkies once. Then they americanised to cookies. And now nothing.

They won't even take my blood. I lived in England when the mad cow stuff was happening. So that makes my blood dangerous.

I would have thought that blood from somebody called "Purple Patch" would be far more suspect.
