it was just the comment about the bloke who made it work. I agree there are lots of ethical issues and in fact I think some fairly significant basic legal issues with the methods that are promoted. It goes beyond making low ball offers. One of the methods promoted involves telling the owner that if the bank steps in they will give no change even if there is significant equity in the property. And the short sell method is promoted with a suggestion that if you pay the owner something on the side that needs to be kept from the knowledge of the lender who is taking a hit on the mortgage debt. My point was merely that no doubt there are a number of people who have implemented the strategies promoted and come out with $ in their pockets but that doesn't mean the methods promoted don't come with very significant risks - which in my experience are not at all explained.

This would have legal implications if that is being done. it is unconscionable as well as misleading and deceptive.

    Hi Apollo

One observation . In the past when I've googled her ( eg before i posted on this thread initially ) I've never found specific negative comments about her , but now that's not the case with someone posting their experience about using her POA .

As someone who observes property forums - I am consumer advocate, not investor - I'm amazed at how long it takes for accurate comments to appear about particular gurus, and I think the advice to "google" a person is not helpful. Grubisa has been teaching that banks "don't give change" and teaching how to convince a desperate owner to sign a power of attorney and blank transfer docs (and other things of concern to me) for at least 5 years - and of her thousands of students aren't concerned? It's just "She's a great communicator" "I made a profit" etc etc.

Most of the gurus who are great at marketing (ie they are probably more "marketing gurus" than they are "property gurus") will also be distinctly aware of the importance of managing online reputation. There are firms who specialise in this and one common tactic is to ensure you've flooded the Google search results with as much positive (or at least neutral) information and feedback as possible with the goal of suppressing any negative reviews. Combined with appropriately aggressive legal threats to further suppress negative comments - it's a very effective strategy for ensuring that "google them" doesn't work as well as it possibly should.

This recent article shows how unreliable google is - all the fake people on quora weren't saying "Dominique Grubisa is great" but they're suggesting people google, saying they "wouldn't rush to conclusions" and that they've heard good things. Property Tribes in the UK do a great job at helping people to share concerns about property/wealth gurus, but I understand they have to stand strong against many threats. catfishing-with-dominique-grubisa-dg-institutes-fake-quora-reviews,14458

... let's wait and see, innocent until proven guilty or vice versa?
IMO, reporting is one thing, especially when so far it is from one source, and conviction is another.
Although I don't approve some of her methods she uses as it imposes on my beliefs!
