Hi there

How credible is the Domain suburbs liveability index ?

Melbourne's 321 suburbs ranked for liveability

If a suburb is given a 100 point better ranking in the list when comparing 2 suburbs, what are the chances that the higher ranked suburb is better ?

Fawkner has been given a ranking of 122 compared to 212 for Thomastown

Do experienced members rely on this index when making decisions?

Does it measure your risk of being killed, maimed, subject to drive-by shootings, street crime, break & enters, property crime, neighbourhood disputes?

 

I have no idea

That’s why I am asking if the members know if these very important parameters are included on which the index is created
I am presuming the crime index is taken into consideration , but again, is the crime index a true reflection of the suburb ?

I thought the rank is based on the number of property on the market in thst suburb. Its to help increase demand for certain suburbs to help it sell and make more money for Domain.com

 

i personally don't trust any thing like this, especially domain etc, as property god said, these types of sites post these things for selling certain areas.
