I often look at my unit complex on Domain to see if any units are for sale or rent. According to the domain data, my unit was the most recent unit to be rented out. My unit appeared in Domains data for a couple of months, and then suddenly disappeared. I don't really care if my unit is or is not shown on Domain's website, but I am curious how and why the data would suddenly be edited out. Anyone know how this would of happened?

It's been siphoned off to the dark web.

Try checking old listings website or house.ksou.cn or other sites.

Not sure why it's gone but I would never rely on the data shown on Domain, out of all the places to get info it's often the most inaccurate or out of date etc

The answer to your question lies above.... the data has become old and their systems probably drop off any old data....

As I mentioned in my post, my unit was the most current data they were displaying for my unit complex.

Yes, but as I said before "the data has become old and their systems probably drop off any old data".

The data used to be current... but not now.

They have retained historic rental data from 2004 to 2020.

Where do you recommend to source info on the sales and rental market? ( and is the info free).

Depends how accurate you want the data to be, I'm yet to see any 'free' data sites or sources that are as accurate or in depth as a paid RP Data/Core Logic subscription, I could be wrong, there may be better free sites I just don't know of them.

The paid subscription provides the depth of information eg names, addresses, phone numbers etc.

Why would there be any inaccuracies in the free information which is provided by the LTO and used by all providers?

How would I know why? :)
All I'm going off is my experience, the fact I've seen inaccuracies on the free data shown on Domain compared to RP data for the same property.

CoreLogic's backend is pretty horrendous, we had to get files off their system parse them into something .. friendly .. the files were only updated weekly...

Domain is run off CoreLogic if I'm not mistaken.
