Perhaps I should explain further ... she left hubby for another man but still expected him to pay "all" expenses relating to her and the kids - she also expected him to pine after her forevermore.

When he found someone else (me) - and I explained to him that he didn't have to pay her expenses other than child support (so he stopped) ... anyhow ... she turned into a nasty, manipulative, undermining and money grubbing person who, if you'd met, would think was the nicest person (very two faced).

So, please let me have a little smugness - and no - it's not cancer

Why are you still wasting your time and energy thinking about this person?

Let it go ..... for your sake, not hers.

I generally don't - but it was a big slab of my life. Simply a friend of a friend posted a photo of her on their FB page that came up in my feed.

Now, off to play boardgames with the kids on a Sunday afternoon xx

I say you are normal, not evil. I reckon most people would compare (just as many people do at school reunions).

They may not admit it, but I reckon it is fairly normal.

And when someone has caused you years of grief, that little sliver of enjoyment is enhanced.

The thing is, when you ask a forum ‘am I evil?’, you will get answers that you may not agree with!

Never an issue - live by the policy "don't ask the question you might not like the answer to".

Simply thought some might not know the leadup and hence cut a little slack - it's not the action (or original comment) but the reaction that speaks volumes about where people are coming from. We all have our own perspective, borne out our own past experiences.

If her greying and balding and weight gain is a result of you poisoning her or psychologically abusing her etc... then that makes you evil. Otherwise just karma and you are allowed to enjoy karma.

100% karma ... although think karma came back to bite me for having a gloat moment as teen whipped my backside at Monopoly ... but I beat her at "bananagrams" :) ... although we play with the scrabble tiles because I'm to stingy to pay extra for the actual game

If my ex met someone else who told him to stop supporting his kids other than the bare minimum I think I'd go a little crazy too. Lol that's my excuse for insanity.

Again - more background - we had the kids 50% of the time, and paid for everything while in our care - new fella moved in with her, both worked and earning more than our household did - child support, in those days, was calculated on income from two years previous (when she didn't work) so hubby was paying a bucket load as the "minimum". She got the house - he got his super that he couldn't touch.

Kids certainly didn't do without - but I did resent when she demanded he pay the insurance on her brand new car and refund her for the mother's day presents, just after they returned from a holiday in Fiji

"Pics or it didn't happen!" ;)

Also go easy on going grey and balding, I happen to think that I'm looking more and more distinguished!

    I don't think stingy.
People would be stupid to buy this specific game. At least 75% of households with kids aged between 5 to 18 will have scrabble tiles....

For those who've not met Lizzie, she is one very attractive lady, whip smart, kind hearted... and some of these assumptions about her motives have missed the mark.

I enjoy the feeling when I'm looking good and run into an old flame or old friend, just as much as I don't enjoy the feeling when I look like the cat has dragged me through a gorse bush backwards - and run into an old flame or old friend. I think it is just human nature.
