Came across a photo of hubby's ex ... she made parts of my life near hell for around 10 years ... now lives in another country (phew) and hadn't seen a candid photo for years ... going grey and balding and looks like she ate a whale ... :D:D:D

    Does that make me evil

Well no, you're publicly denigrating an individual because they're over weight, this can impact on others in the same situation.

I wouldn't say evil, but I would say petty.

Personally, I wouldn't wish ill will towards anyone, even if they made my life hell (and there has been people who have tried), I would just move on and forget about them.

I would find no satisfaction that their life had made an apparent turn for the worse - what does that achieve? I think it shows more about the person you are than them. Don't let them hold that perceived power over you, just move on.

I'm surprised at how many people are saying this is Normal. It would appear that's just me who thinks it's NQR ... o_O

If a man ditches his wife because he wants someone younger and more attractive (especially if it’s an affair) I think it’s fine for the ditched ex wife to feel a bit smug on finding out that the new wife has aged like everyone does or, even better, left her husband for someone younger and more attractive!

Because then (hopefully) the ex husband knows what it feels like to be dumped for the crime of getting older!

Other than that, Liz’s judgement on the ex wife, just keys into the idea that women only have value for their looks ...(I’m not excusing her behavior to Liz - which sounds unforgivable and wanting to ‘even the balance sheet’ is understandable ).

However, if the ex wife is balding, maybe it’s cancer?
