    Howdy,

I have a friend who's being given a corp card for her work. She's concerned that it will affect her personal credit score...

The Googles weren't real clear on the consequences.

Does a corp credit card in your name affect your credit score?

    Help!

she is unlikely to be the borrower so it can't affect if that is the case. Is she a guarantor?

My wife has one and the card is issued to the employer with her name on it for the signature elements. She had to provide 100pts ID etc but wasnt assessed by the card issuer at all.

I don't think she's guarantor. It's just her name on the card...but all the money and the card account comes from the business

I have a corporate credit card. I don’t see it mentioned in any reports that I have from credit agencies

    Should be fine.

I had a "corporate" card that was on my file in one of my previous jobs, but the application was clear that it was my personal liabilty.

If its under company then I don't think it should affect her unless she is a director or guarantor of the card.

However it might affect her borrowing capacity, I recently had a major lender add a Corp CC into their servicability.

I find this strange and would always question their reasoning

Does sound strange, depending on the company size sometimes card limits can be quite high which would have a massive effect on the individual for no reason

I've yet to see it for any of my clients with Corp Credit cards, can imagine it would affect quite a few people negatively if that was the case.
