First three aren't a good taste of country life.

To me it is all about facilities and ease of access to those facilities. Hate heavy traffic and feeding parking metres. That is why Sydney has lost it. Maybe one hour fifteen to get to Rosehill Gardens from Narrabeen when the traffic is bad. Give me a break.
Archaic nsw licensing laws held Sydney back for years.
Medium size cities half a mill to two mill are always better. They have variety and all the facilities with easy access to those facilities.
Yes i could live in a small country town as long as it had easy access to a bigger regional centre.

Just come to Brisbane, like a big country town or that's what they used to say anyway... You can still get your big blocks that aren't too expensive and you have all the amenities! I've got 2000m2 and room for chickens and vegies and fruit trees and tons of parking for cars and toys, swimming pool etc and we can walk to the shops and the local bus interchange in 2-3 minutes! Or 20 mins drive to the CBD...

I don't live in Brisbane but rate it the best having lived in Sydney for thirty years.
    What an gorgeous city.

I love the easy access to facilities.
I love the way the art galleries are lined along Southbank. The best in Australia.
I love the four gorgeous parks. New Farm Roma Street and the two botanical gardens.
    I love South bank
I love the way i can grab a coffee in Teneriffe and be the races in ten minutes.
I love the topography of Brisbane and it's greenness.
I love the easy access to all the city has to offer.
I love the varied architecture of the city. Best in Australia
I love the friendliness of the city and it's people
I love the amazing walking and bike tracks all over the city and along the river.
i love the easy access to the city on the fast river cats.
I love eating at Eagle St pier as the lights come on on the Storey bridge.
I love the mixture of ages in the city. It is a younger vibrant city.
I love the cleanliness of the city.
I love the way all the sporting facilities are ten minutes from the city.

One day i might be lucky enough to live in Brisbane.

I don't think anyone should be subjected to living anywhere but a large city with great facilities. Small regional centres particularly the Blue Mountains are terrible places to live. There are no Westfields to spend your $$$, internet access is rarely more than 10Mbs, poor access to hospitals, cinemas, airports & especially beaches. Property rarely goes up in value and trains take over 2 hours to get to Central. It's very hard to get anything through Council, and even if you do there's a real possibility that it will be burnt to the ground in the frequent bushfires. And the residents are categorised into one or more of the 4 Rs - Religious, ********, Retired or Renting.

You'd have to be crazy to live there and I strongly suggest that no-one considers relocating there .

Keithj ....Looking at buying in Katoomba last week... Omg property prices are over the top in that area in my opinion .
I think there was a house directly opposite the 3 sisters for nearly a million dollars

Having said that.. There are some great cafes and restaurants in the Blue Mountains.. Only a few hours from the City... Country type lifestyle... No Mcdnalds :(

I used to spend my school holidays up there. Pretty sad. I think there are better and cheaper places to live and you won't get burnt to the ground. Why don't you move

Brissy is a top city. And another thing you don't see in other CBD's is cars towing trailers or boats!

I think the South Coast shares some of these problems @keithj. Also let me state for those on the verge of a major mistake there are no good surfing spots and the fishing is terrible.

I don't know about the Blue Mountains but elsewhere you can usually include another R-Running away. From the ex, the law or reality.:p

These are called trump supporters in America.
The republicans have long had the above as their core support base.
Quite a few of the above are actually fundamentally decent, just that they are ignorant and will buy into any kind of propaganda. You will find them in most small towns in America.
