I would prefer tenant meth testing :)

That makes way more sense, however we may find there is an oversupply of unwanted tenants :)

This is a societal problem, first make everyone entitled & reliant on govt to make people feel secure, then slowly this is pushed off onto those in the private sector.

PC and this nanny state hand holding over a few incidents on whatever the latest incident is, is a cancer on our society.

No one has a go anymore, no one takes risks, it is everyone else's fault when we do not have anything or anything at all happens to us - usually that has nothing to do with anyone else.

it is a crock, how about the govt force police to allow LLs to get hold of prospective tenant data so we can screen these scumbags out easier....oh, no, you can't do that to these poor buggers.

    *sighs*

Oh, and why is it hundreds of dollars to test for when the cops can now pull us all over for random drug testing, why not enable PMs to be able to take swabs supplied free when it is likely govt supporting these waste of space beings.....nah..nah, that would be an invasion of privacy or whatever....

And how many people would be that hyper sensitive to such things, maybe they need to look at themselves first.

Were going mad, inching closer and close, or further and further away from a free democratic society.

And in fact, when you think about it, it makes it harder and harder for many to have a go, as it is just too hard and complex a web with so many restrictions. I liked the old bloke packer, he was dead on when he said our govt legislates for the sake of legislating, and he would support new legislation if they got rid of as many or more I think it was, old ones or existing..

What was a LOL living in a 4 bedroom house by herself?

Why weren't her cats drug affected? Cats ten's to hang the walls as they walk around, wouldn't their fur take up some residue?

What if the meth blew in from a neighbouring house? Who would be responsible?

I have walked down some streets in Mt Druitt and have been blown away by some of the noxious smells I have encountered. The stuff is everywhere!

Testing and compliance (of this and almost everything) is a scam. Its just ongoing revenue for the providers.

Its more people clipping the ticket and assisting the Govt with imposing nanny rules by making rules up to keep themselves employed and assist those with insecurities feel better. Often with no tangible basis.

I have never seen stats to show how many lives have been saved or serious injuries averted from people wearing yellow vests when they fall off a ladder.

Mandatory testing with the onus placed on landlords is just a lazy (but expected) government response. The real issue for me in the article posted by @Simon Hampel is the three NCAT visits with no solution. That's where the work needs to go into, making sure there are clear guidelines and responses if you do end up in that unfortunate position for all parties (agents, owners, tenants).

I think you can disregard the meth testing companies "100% of the properties we tested were positive". I would love to see the QA data on that but even so that is like a plumber saying "100% of properties we attended where a leaking tap was suspected we found a leaking tap".

Use a road cone, put small end near your noise maker, when you see the smoke, point large end toward smoke and breath in heavily, exactly the opposite to counting 1 to 10 that you do for mr plod daily...

Relax and enjoy the effects, once enough effect takes place, raid the place taking enough gear to further the experience and recoup lost wages and profits etc...,.take some mates for the raid part...

Interesting technique. But I have noticed people along the footpath with a cylinrical object in their mouth.

I even had people run up to my front door, knock, take a few deep breaths when it's open and then bolt. Bludy freeloaders, probably never worked a day in their life!

As a bonus meth tenants keep your place meticulously clean and will even mow the grass with a pair of scissors, they do get confused though, as according to them there's only now 3 more sleeps until Christmas 2019

    Tongue firmly in cheek...
