Being retired I get up do some outdoor chores then indoor cycling / light weight training before breakfast. After breakfast there will typically be lots of outdoor jobs to do on the property which continue to make one sweaty. Late in the afternoon when all physical jobs are done then it’s time for a shower. Although some afternoons I do tethered swimming in the pool which might substitute for a shower. After a shower quality time with the wife enjoying some beverages then dinner.

I still need my job

And rather than desk, more likely making morning swim much harder when sleepy o_O

So I was going to have my shower in the morning, but I'd accidentally sprayed seaweed fertilizer all ok very myself. But then I realise that, owing to visitors and all the smoke cover in recent days, there was no solar hot water. Now I have to wait, smelling like seaweed, until the electrically heated hot water becomes available.

Mrs W is at work tonight - on her birthday. Otherwise I would have had to use the hose.

We don't have water restrictions down this way just yet.

Well if you did you wouldn’t notice the seaweed smell anymore.

I guess either the smell of carp or the smell of weed would have been evident.

I apologise for the last post. I think I have a pun addiction.

    It's time to see kelp.

    None of the above?

Great thing about working from home is that I don't have to do the "morning routine".

I typically start work at 6am before stopping at around 7:30am to get the kids ready for school. If I don't need to actually take the kids anywhere, I'll then usually have a shower mid-morning instead - I find it a great way of taking a break from work, gives me time for my brain to relax for a bit and ponder some of the challenges of the day, before getting back into it.

However, if I do need to leave the house, I will always have a shower first. I'll also shower after exercise - but only once I've cooled down. Nothing worse than washing the sweat off immediately after exercise only to find yourself still sweating once you're out of the shower.

If I've been out all day and are feeling grimy, I'll have a quick shower to rinse off in the evening too.

Oh Carp. Sorry being dyslexic I thought it was Cr*p. That would definitely get rid of the seaweed steel.

    Tangential but what's new?

When running the shower, or even a hot water tap, it's cold for the first few liters. I gather it and use it to top up the bird bath and water some plants.

All goes into our Biocycle wastewater system with sprinkler system to water wherever one places the sprinklers outlets.

I like to shower in the morning. Clean body, clean clothes to go out. But if its been a sweaty day I shower at night also. Occasionally I'll miss the morning shower if I've showered the night before and I'm not going out.
I stayed with my mum for a while and she kept asking me why I was showering AGAIN.

Sounds like she might be on a financial water budget ... and possibly the same type of oldie one follows down a supermarket aisle while holding one's breath
