got into a bit of a heated argument (yes very silly) over christmas with someone who showers in the mornings, while I shower at night, I got peed off because they tried to prove their point by calling people who shower at night as dirty, which doesnt make sense

so as far as im aware I rarely meet anyone who showers twice a day, just too time consuming

I think those that dont shower at night and shower in the morning are filthy,

you are taking your entire days sweat/dirt/dust to your bed!

sure humans sweat at night while asleep, but youre in a clean bed, so your argument that you are unclean in the morning is pretty pathetic,

what got me a little riled up was the insinuation and hypocrisy that those that showered at night were dirty in the morning ,yet these people were going to sleep unshowered after a full day

    answer the poll:D

Do they get dirtier if they go to bed dirty every night?

So that's where the expression of getting dirty in bed comes from. :p

Always shower in the morning. But generally my days are just spent in an office. If I’ve done anything that makes me particularly dirty or sweaty, I’ll generally shower at night too.

So they called you dirty, and you called them filthy?

I shower in the morning because it wakes me up.

As an office worker, I don’t get filthy or sweaty during the day.

If I worked in a physically dirty job, I’d shower after work instead.

Always shower at evening, going to bed with a days worth of sweat, toilet breaks, hair product etc is gross.

I hate going to bed without a shower, or even having dinner before a shower. Maybe it's partly psychological but I like to wash the day off after work and chores are all finished, get home, sort the dogs out, attend to anyt hing around the house & property etc, prep dinner then shower and change and sit and relax with dinner, nice and clean then off to bed.

Rarely shower in the morning, pointless if you've gone to bed clean. Only time is if I've had a particularly bad nightmare (which I'm prone to at times) and woke up in the night dripping in sweat.

Since I started work almost 30 years ago, my morning routine consists of clothes by the bed the night before, alarm goes off, clothes on, wash face & brush teeth and out the door. Breakfast at work. Form bed to car in 10 minutes. Hate doing anything before work, I've always rather gone to work earlier then knocked off earlier and done things after work. A gain, psychological I guess? Get work out of the way first ASAP..

I shower every Tuesday and Friday in the morning. Life is too short to shower every single day!

I shower in the morning. However only after I go to a cafe to have breakfast and thus offend the rest of the clientele and staff.

Twice a day ... at night so I'm clean to crawl into my clean bed ... in the morning cause I look like the witch from the west when I wake up and need to wet my hair down, and brush my teeth and (ahem) if hubby and I have been friendly ... often three times a day if gymming with teen

And before anyone crooks on me re water restrictions, we're on a 120,000 litre tank that hasn't been less than half full since installed 3 years ago

I shower just before bed. I couldn't go to bed without a shower. I believe we wash all the natural oils off our skin when we shower too much, especially if it is just habit and not actually required to clean ourselves.

When I was working I showered before work as well, but that was old habits. My hair also needs to be wet down or I look like a wild woman (when it was longer - not such a problem now it is short). If I worked now, I wouldn't shower before work. If I ever have had a really hot night, I'll shower in the morning.

I find that if I freshen up (deodorant, wash face) as soon as I get up, I'm very fresh. This morning, hubby made brekky and I ate it in my pyjamas. Just a half hour without having used deodorant or getting dressed made me feel icky so I've showered. (Also I'm seeing a physiotherapist in half an hour and I would never go for a physio or massage without being scrupulously clean first - unless I had to go from work and had no other option).

I shower in the mornings as freshly washed and still damp hair is easier to style and it's just what I have always done.

I also shower after being in the pool or ocean and at any other time should I so feel the need.

I was born in Japan ... should be furo at night, but a shower at night will be the best compromise.

What??? Most people I know shower twice a day.

I shower at least twice a day. Three times if I swim in the morning, which is almost every weekday I am going to work.

Need to shower in the morning or otherwise I will be half asleep on the way to work.
Need to shower before sleep or otherwise I can't sleep.

In hot days I often give myself some cold water blast to freshen up.
