    I didn't initially as I thought everything was straightforward and didn't see any point!!
    Boy, was I wrong....
    So yes, I did vote.

    Of course this may be a first world problem .......but my intension was genuine, with the view to improve the forum's current like format, ....... I did not expect this reaction.

    ... and this was my first poll...so onwards and upwards:)

    Finally, now i understand how the likes impact in a negative way. I think I have done it to a couple of times. However, never realised in depth.

    This thread is a perfect example with practical. 3rd page is my favorite. :D

    Every time I come to this thread, it makes me think that there might be something else missing. Most of the ppl also use Like button to agree with a point someone has made. The point may not have been made in a subtle way.

    I sometime used it as another expression to say "I concur".

    May be there's an option to add "Agree" button.
    Perhaps, where you may not like the way a post has been made but you may agree with the point made in the post ??
    It might become another way of stopping a heated conversation when you click "Agree" button. The other person can acknowledge this and stop further discussion into it.

    I was once told off for liking a post that this person didn't like.

    This was from somebody who had complained about not having freedom of speech.
