There is absolutely no need to insult, or belittle, or use abusive language

.....no one on this thread is arguing?... the intention is feedback nothing more nothing less.....

if this thread is of little or NO interest ..... then I ask you why are you posting and wasting your time??

BTW have you read my thread on a "formula for dissatisfaction"

    MTR:)

I am more than happy for @Simon Hampel to close this thread as I see a few now derailing, not interested in this happening.

I am happy that perhaps the like system will be enhanced somehow and look forward to this happening.

In the mean time if you are not voting and it hurts don't read, don't post.
@Jamie_ perhaps you prefer my Croydon thread or the mother load, Trumph thread.:)

Why did you completely edit your post from seeing what I wrote as it was intended - mildly amusing - to being completely offended?
It's an Internet forum, people can post stuff they want and if people find it useful they can click like. It's a good way of indicating what people find valuable information as @Bran said. It helps people who contribute to the forum get some magic Internet points that I assume can be used like equity to draw down if they meet serviceability.
If people get upset about who "likes" their posts, they can go back to Facebook and get upset like the other 14yr olds that don't have a comprehensive grasp of valuing their self worth.

Please take a Chill pill.... its a poll, means you have a choice to vote, its that simple.
Not on FB, are you OK with that?

I like LIKES or rewarding for contribution, however, I prefer the SS model for reasons I mentioned in my first post, hence the poll. I am entitled to have an opinion we all have one, and in fact PC (majority) like the LIKES, so what. I think I will still sleep at night.

Why this causes some grief I have no idea whatsoever, and why you are concerned whether I edit my thread is alarming, I did not realise anyone cared so much:O

So I suggest Stop over analysing and derailing and if you don't like this thread, find another.

(see what I mean about LIKES..... above are my usual trollers dt and Jamie_ adding their likes to your comments, this does not help make a healthy forum, and that is my point)
.....thanks DT and Jamie_ can always count on your guys trolling in the background.

    Yeah, you kind of did.

As much as I harp on about likes just being likes, when you like something it does say something about your opinion on a subject. It can be the same as replying "I agree with your post" - indeed that is one of the original intentions behind the like system, to avoid having all the "+1", "me too" and "I agree" posts which don't add to the overall discussion.

Ah so they're not for agreeing with someone's point of view? They're for trolling people you disagree with? MTR liked your post which was disagreeing with me and is therefore trolling ?

D.T., when there is a history of antagonism between several people and I have asked them to leave each other alone and not inflame the situation, actions like this absolutely can be taken as trolling.

I'm not asking everyone to be mindful of what they "like" - for the vast majority of people, a like is just a like and shouldn't be interpreted as anything else.

People absolutely are allowed to disagree with each other and you absolutely are allowed to take one side of an argument and like something that disagrees with someone else.

But for the select few who have been specifically asked to avoid antagonising each other, they have no reason to get involved in these discussions and absolutely should avoid them.

For the record - that also applies to @MTR ... if you want @D.T. to not do it, you need to stop doing it as well! Just leave each other alone and focus on property.

For everyone else - as you were, continue with what you were doing, nothing to see here.

Taking responsibility for your behaviour would make you a bigger and better person.
Passive aggressive attacks are still very obvious to most of us.
