Normally I'd be telling you to let it go - but in this case, I urge you to continue reporting them - these people need to learn that this is not acceptable behaviour in the current situation.

Yeah Im not one to bother with this stuff really. But in current times, it's just too selfish. What one does affects us all. It stated in a market in Wuhan and now it's affected every Australian.

It isn't a share house is it? If there are, say, 10 people sharing a large house, it may actually all be above board.

Yes, they're renting. They're not boarders. so by definition renting is above board.

No I'm pretty sure it isn't. This home is kinda well known in the area for having parties over the weekends.

In light of tonight's announcement about social gatherings being no more than 2 people, assuming having 4 tradespeople laying pavers at your house would be disallowed...?

(Feels like a silly question, but still confused).

Laying pavers would not be a social gathering but would fall under the rules for workers (4m between them I think). I have the brochure sent to me from our builder that explains the new rules for builders.

Thanks Wylie. Is that brochure downloadable off the net?

I was sent it via email. I’ll post it tomorrow (because I need to hit the sack).

I loosely mentioned to my parents that they should have been home sooner but to be honest, I gave up getting involved in other peoples drama around 5 years ago and I am so much happier for it.

I try not to judge others now and those who judge me are told to pay me the same respect. Whilst I completely value others opinions, I see no value in being judged. I firmly believe I couldn't pass my opinion on this with my brother without judging so best to not get involved :).

Police rang me and asked me to notify them again if their behavior continues. So I'm pretty sure they aren't allowed to do that they've been doing.

A neighbour of mine summed it up while we were having a chat - at an appropriate distance - on people not applying simple but difficult steps to avoid contracting an infection. It was pretty cruel which is unlike her but probably expressed a frustration at the stupidity.

"As long as they stay away from me and mine, their problem."

It's the attitude that "I'm special or it doesn't apply to me as I'm young/fit/a f-w etc".

Also a part of our "doesn't respect authority" culture based on our convict heritage?

Talking of not respecting authority, I was disgusted to see that women spitting on police on the TV the other night. Make that, and any assault on police, a custodial offence and that behavior will be dramatically reduced overnight!

I get the aim of this social distance thing, but Ive been asking myself since day 1,

if someone coughs, dont the particles stay floating in the air and people can walk into it, or touch the surfaces that it lands on

so it feels that 1.5m is only go to make a tiny difference

My brother in law is staying on a campsite in Melbourne mainly consisting of long termers. The campsite manager recently returned from Thailand, arriving back just before the requirement to be quarantined in hotels. He's now carrying on with working on the campsite as if he hasn't been anywhere, I think he legally should be self isolating for 14 days. I know the police have been told about him but nothing seems to have changed. :(

Call your local state member of parliament and ask them if you should alert the media.

Although this could reflect badly on him or her.

About 10 minutes later, you'll see the recalcitrant campsite manager removed from the scenario...
