its not actually me its someone in my family. they are very concerned. someone crashed into them so it wasnt their fault and my son signed a repairers papers thinking they were going to assess and repair it. but apparently there is a scam where some repairers have in tiny writing that you have just authorised a lawyer to act on your behalf and you could e left with legal fees . apparently the legal authorities and car repair authorities have disciplined people who do this scam but it still happens. my son is concerned if he should just run or what he should do now that he is realising that the paper he signed had this. i'll see if i can send a link an article about this.

Never sign anything without reading it and if not sure get you own lawyer to read.
In the case of a car accident, your insurer should be handling this on your behalf!

How is your son going to ‘run’, exactly?

if there is a copy of what he signed call the insurance company.

Get some legal advice if you're worried about it, not sure how helpful a property forum is going to be for this situation...
