Do you choose solicitor base on property location or close to you?

    There was an failure to disclose an easement on the property which went right through the property about 2/3 the way down (~1,600m2 property) and also had issues with the B&P.

    All were resolved (refund at settlement) and the easement wouldn't of been found without the solicitor (who I never met) and probably will never met.

    When I say local, I mean physically located in the area I am buying the property, not near where I live. When I sold a house in Heidelberg Heights, I used a conveyancer in Ivanhoe, one suburb away. I live in Perth.
