I often ask @Simon Hampel for things, and sometimes he speaks to me and occasionally makes them happen

    Poor agnostics can't vote. ;)

I had no such problem though. For better or worse, no god, no Santa, no Easter bunny, no flying spaghetti monster.

My definition would be something that isn't bound by the rules of science and had some impact on the creation of the universe, the earth or life, or the the path that they have taken since creation.

So personally I'm casting a very wide net, if you believe in anything like that, I'd say that you believe in some sort of god.

@Terrychris I don't mean to be mean or blunt but have you joined this forum to talk property or to start conversations that often lead to arguments?

For the sake of the forum, I'd recommend a slow down in weight, politics and religion topics and start diluting it with some property talk.

There are a number of strong minded people in these forums who have a lot of great property knowledge but can't stay away from controversial topics which lead to personal attacks, disagreements, reporting of posts and banhammer. Then we lose all their great property knowledge.

Controversial topics require more moderation, cause more angst and divisiveness between members . I'm not saying they don't have their place and its not good to discuss such things but 3 such topics in a week might tip people into the banned camp before their time.

Personally I stay away from such topics most of the time, so I'm not going to join the discussion just put my 2 cents in on why we don't need to have so many at once.

I must say that I don't mind it. He posted in the right forum, so if some people only want to talk about property, they should just not read any threads in the Living Room.

I can't see him doing any obvious trolling or trying to stir up trouble, but asking out of interest, so why not?

Why would asking such a question be off limits?

I hope it's ok with the person who created the poll... I've added this option.

In terms of quantity, I agreed with MTR's comments, however DK's post seemed to indicate (to me at least) that new members (or perhaps any members) shouldn't start threads on religion at all, which is something I disagree with.

It's not a public poll, is it? I can't see who voted for what, unless I'm just not clicking in the right spot.

Yes, fair enough. I think public polls should only be used if it's made very obvious that they're public.
