I need to introduce new hot/cold water pipes to one of my existing bathroom due to a tricky leaking water pipe. Just wonder I can get someone to break the wall only and replace pipes and not touching the ground tiles.

One plumber suggests me to retile the ground as well to prevent any water leak with much higher price tag.

    Need some expert opinion here.

I'd listen to the plumber. Better to do the job properly first time. Then you can update the bathroom entirely as well.

While the plumber is there, get them to check the rest of the house as it sounds like your entire system is due for replacement/ repairs due to age.

Can you access it from the other side of the wall by removing the plaster?

Why would you have to retile the ground if you are installing pipes in the wall.

    Put up pics.
