Now you've gotta return the unused cat traps.

    Yeah, the cheeky sod!

Hmmm....a cold damp drain in winter, or a nice comfy bed in front of the heater? I know which one I'd choose.

Yeah, and I've bought one as well, that I no longer need.

Yes, I'm debating on whether I should make a formal complaint or not.

The guy's conduct is a classic example of the maxim: 'rules are for the guidance of wise men, and the blind adherence of fools'. (Attributed to Solon of Athens, 559 BCE, requoted many times in the past century.)

The problem being the little grub is quite happy to euthanize cats rather than re homing them - economics

Yep! This is a real problem. I've now got two more, that I didn't really want, but I couldn't see them put down. They are such lovely animals, and I'm amazed by how far they've come since I've had them. They've gone from cowering in the corner of a crate to loving attention. Really beautiful natured girls, they are....but two of mine are terrorising them, so I've got them locked at the back of the house, while the others are in the front. It's not an ideal situation, but they are finally happy.
