I started weight watchers about 3 weeks ago. Not a diet because nothing is off limits which means you can have a social life but it's about planning ahead.

I think this program has stood the test of time, however it's about changing mindset and making the right food choices so you feel full and less risk of binge eating. Also meet once per week you weigh in with other members.

Met a lifetime member who lost 40 kg, very interesting, she weighs in monthly to keep on track.

They Recommend 30 minute walking/exercise each day.

This program may not be your cup of tea, but so far I am finding it easy, however need to put the effort in and cook meals and have a great selection of healthy snacks. Eating 6 meals per day

Do date I have lost 3.4 kg, I am amazed because I generally need to starve myself to lose weight, but not on this program. Basically eating lots of protein and veg, still having carbs and 2 fruits per day

    Great stuff MTR :):):)

Biggest thing is getting into the healthy eating and exercise mindset, then it becomes enjoyable not a chore.. and as a result teh weight comes off even faster

My thought is to have a high protein diet (fills you up?) and do muscle building exercise. Reason for the muscle building exercises is that muscles need to be fed and they use up your stored energy 24 hours a day. You may weigh more at the end but your body shape and tone actually improves. :)

Japanese is the opposite for me..several places are all you can eat for 10 euro, dangerous. It´s the only meal of the day usually, with the katsu curry, sushi and tempura, 3000 calories at least, probably 4000. So only every 2 months or so.

As many said already, there are only two ways to control your weight/shape: working out or controlling your intake. Either one or the other. That simple.

For me, it is easier to workout than diet. I can eat whatever I want, whenever I want, no restrictions.

I made it a psychological thing, to eat like a king I need to workout to earn it.

Would not be able to diet, too much willpower required.

Luckily anything you eat while drinking doesn't count.
Cheese goes quite well with wine I hear ;)

On diet vs exercise, this is a great example
