Depreciation schedule for brand new duplex

    Hi i finished building a duplex beginning of this year. Both sides have a separate address and separate titles on them now. However I have one building contract when It was built. I got quotes from a few different QS. BMT quoted me on individual units $1430 ($770×2) each and other quoted me as one building(duplex) only $300 all together ( as they don't need to do site visit since it is newly built and me being the first owner all they need are floor plans and building contract etc). Wondering if someone can help me understand which is the better option as I don't want to miss out on maximizing deductions
    Also would love know does it matter who I choose to go with as it is newly built

    @rishab are you planning to keep both, sell one, or sell both? If selling one or both, you may wish to have separate depreciation schedules that you can use to give to the incoming owner/s as an incentive to buy?
