Deck repair/rebuild - Sydney (Eastern Suburbs)

    Can anyone recommend someone to quote to fix up our rear deck - only 15m2 - the timber has rotted through and we've got a quote from our PM which made us :eek: and it doesn't mention cost if any timber underneath needs replacing as well :confused:.

    It would be helpful to know what the quote is that you've had from the PM.

    Also, have you called the builder who quoted and asked what the work entails and whether the timber underneath needs replacing? That would help clarify things I think.

    It's nearly $7,000 just for the decking boards on top (& oiling with 3 coats water based). (edit: $6300+GST)

    In bold/underlined it says no framing included. Presuming he could rip the old boards off & see more work needs doing (which, if needed, it'll be done) but we have no idea what we'd be up for in that case.
    Surely the framing would be more than 50% of the build cost for a new deck?
